CHOOSING LIFE Min: See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, In that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways. Min: I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, That you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days. Min: This commandment which I command you today, it is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, "Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?" Min: Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, "Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?" But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. Min: "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: "Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; Min: But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel: After those days," says the Lord, "I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Min: No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, "Know the Lord." "For they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," says the Lord. "For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
